I guess it would only be natural for me to experience some rain in the Spanish region that is known for its rain. However, one day is ok. Tomorrow, sun please :)
I did some exploring today, though it was really cold for June and when it wasn't raining, it was misty. You can see in some of the pictures that there was just a super sleepy rain cloud lingering over the city all day. It cleared up in the evening and I went for a nice run along the Paseo Maritimo, which is a really long pathway that runs all around the weird-shaped coastline. It's really cool because SO many people run out here. There's a very sporty, informal, nature-loving feel out here---I really like it. Not as many people all done up, pushing baby strollers in stilettos and short skirts with lots of accessories and makeup. More outdoorsy environment here. It's comforting to be honest.
This is the view from right outside my hotel.
Picture of my hotel from across the beach --it's in the middle of that cluster of buildings haha.
Interesting bar name...
Calle Real, one of the main streets of shopping in the center
El Ayuntamiento aka town hall and Plaza de Maria Pita
Maria Pita herself, apparently an important warrior woman from the Roman times...way to go girl
