After arriving in Puertollano completed EXHAUSTED from our Amsterdam adventures, we decided to take it easy and decided against traveling. We caught up on some sleep, I went to work, and then during the afternoon we planned a trek up the steep streets and rocks to visit El Minero statue. Puertollano has always been known as an industrial town, and way back when, it was a coal mining town. This statue was built to honor the life of miners and also for those who lost their lives in mining accidents.
