Jose Manuel and his rebujito :) classic sevillana drink for la feria
These, my friends, are caricoles aka SNAILS. My roommate swore to me that this was the best restaurant for them in her town. I mean, if you say so......lol hey I tried to do as they do!!!!!! It was hard to take it seriously when her boyfriend, Jose Manuel, laughed and said , "Parecen mocos, no???" (They look like boogers, no???)
This face basically describes all my feelings about this dish. Subtle, right?
I was so terrible at picking them out of the shells with the toothpick. Definitely an art I am willing to not master haha.
I LOVED Noelia's bird, Pollo!!! :) Such a little dog that followed you around the house! He was my buddy and kept me company.
En el centro de Sevilla
This tradition is equal to public pregaming in the US (that is, if it were legal). This is called botellon, which is basically when people get together and chug bottles of alcohol in the streets. It technically is illegal there as well, but.......the Spanish police? Meh, who cares! They sure don't! :)
Noelia's dad owns peach orchards! So cool!
