Operation Fly-To-Spain: Take Two

Called the airline again today and was able to get my rescheduled flight moved from Thursday to tomorrow.  Get the sangria ready, Spain!!  I'll see you early Thurs morning!!

Snow (S%$#) happens!

Just my luck!  Go figure the day I am supposed to leave for Spain, my connection city (Philly) gets nearly 2 feet of snow! haha.  I was so close even!  Two delays and a flight change later, I was told that I would not be able to get on another flight to Spain until Thursday.  What a tease!

Oh well, no reason to stress.  Can't control the weather and can't change anything.  I'm going to call tomorrow to see if anything opens up for Wednesday.

Welp, Spain, hold that thought!  I'll see you when I see you!

Two weeks from today..

I should have been in Spain already (the contract was from Oct. 2010-May 2011), but due to Visa processing and serious delay in receiving necessary paperwork (good job, Spain), I will be starting January instead. Now while this was very frustrating at the time, I see now that it all was meant to happen this way.  I was able to get a long term ESL sub position from Oct-Dec here in Gahanna, and most importantly, I will be spending Christmas with my family.  Yes, it would have been cool to experience Christmas in a different country, but I feel so thankful to be home during this time.  This was very clear to me as I helped my mom finish decorating the tree and bake Christmas cookies yesterday.  Spend Christmas with my amazing family, then go on my adventure to Spain. Life is good...

Now if only my suitcases would pack themselves...

So this is really happening......

I realized yesterday that three weeks from yesterday, I will be traveling to Spain.  The official countdown number for today is....

days....

I'm super excited, but nervous at the same time.  There is so much to do on my to-do list!!!  Need to get started!  That's all for now..
